Independence@Scale was founded by operators who have built infrastructure for independent and group dental practices.
Four decades in dental group practice and DSO infrastructure: practice-management systems, technology, security, procurement, compliance, revenue cycle, analytics and outsourcing.
Has played an active role in forming, incubating and growing more than 20 groups and DSOs, in some cases as fractional COO, together with his partner at National Dental Development.
Conceived the Alliance Model DSO, which aggregates independent practices into a fully functioning DSO of their own while owners continue to operate semi-autonomously until a future liquidity event.
Co-founded two enterprise dental practice-management companies, including Planet DDS (Denticon), the first cloud-based dental PMS, and earlier ClinicWorx.

Invited speaker, board examiner and CE course instructor. Committed to returning control of the business of dentistry to practitioners.

Our founders have interests in companies that may be considered as service or technology providers. I@S defines each member need first, writes the specification, and only then selects a provider. Affiliated companies are candidates, never automatic selections, and any related-party arrangement is disclosed.
